Mid Week Positivity: Never Compare & Life Choices!

A new year is in the horizon and it’s time to reflect back on 2017. Take a moment and think about everything you have in your life. Whether it’s a job you love, a family you couldn’t live without or even a small part of your day that you look forward to, yes reality TV can most certainly be in that category!

We’re living in a very digital age now, with an era of people who like to post about the things they own, trips they go on and life stages they want to share. The glitz and glam of life! However, the down days are not usually shown across social media. It’s very easy to compare your life to others and stop focusing on you and your own timeline.

Never let anybody tell you that you can’t achieve something or that you should be doing something else. We’ve all been there, taking in utter nonsense from somebody then regretting not speaking up for yourself later on in the day. You are capable of anything, you decide your fate and no-one can tell you different!

You’re the only person living your life, so the only important thing you should be focusing is on what makes you happy! Never construct your life to live up to someone else’s ideals, then realising later on you are trying to please someone who probably isn’t interested in the first place. Life is way too short for bad jobs, meaningless friendships, negativity and comparing your life to others.

If a friend,  job or lifestyle choice is making you feel miserable, then perhaps you need to re think about spending your time and energy on something which isn’t giving you any joy. I promise you these changes will eventually make you feel so much happier. Throw away the negativity!

See 2018 as the next chapter of your life. Is there anything you want to change about your life right now? Are you happy? What could make you happier? If you have an idea, a hobby or a passion you want to achieve, then get to it. If you suddenly have a creative flare and lots of ideas, write them down. If you’re not happy in your job, make a change. If it all gets too much then remember to take some time out. Run a bubble bath, breath, read a book or talk to someone close to you. Chances are they are going through the same thing!

Hopefully this has given you a little inspiration and positive thinking that you can and will achieve anything if you put your mind to it.
