M&S Collection Fashion Forward
M&S has been a British institution for years now; it is where our mothers bought our knickers and vests, school shirts and very first bra from. But in recent years there has been a steady decline in sales of their women’s range, despite spending millions on advertising with famous names such as Twiggy, Rosie Huntington-Whitely and Rita Ora becoming the faces of M&S.
Critics and public alike criticized Marks and Spencer for not keeping up with the current catwalk trends and transforming them in to affordable high street cheaper duplicates, brands in which Next, Zara and H&M have succeeded in doing.
Women started to feel that M&S had become rather outdated and frumpy and few women would readily admit to purchasing their wardrobes from there. But M&S finally seems to have taken note.
OneWedding is thrilled to report that this seems to be finally on the change. M&S have announced that their sales in women’s ranges have gone up 0.6%. While this isn’t a huge jump towards current leaders Next; it does indicate a step in the right direction. M&S have listened to criticism, taken on board their mistakes and taken action to transform their current styles to high quality cutting edge fashions for women of all ages; and it’s worked! M&S new range is hot off the press, fresh and cutting edge.

Strapless Pleated & Ruched Maxi Dress with Belt
A look taken from the designer Ralph Lauren, this stunning, striking beauty would have you standing out from the crowd at any summer wedding or reception. The chiffon drapery at the front is simple and flatters the lower half of the body, whilst the light material creates a sweeping, floating effect which adds a touch of effortless glamour. Would look ideal matched with a small diamante shrug or cardigan.
Illusion Panel Dress
Dress Outfit £233 Dress £45 Jacket £89
If a more traditional pastel dress isn’t for you and you long to stand out of the crowd in something more modern and unique, then this dress and jacket is a must have for any wedding or function. Originally created by fashion icon Antonio Berardi, this high street imitation is bang on trend at a snippet of the designer price tag.
Perfectly suited for the curvier lady this illusion dress will hold you in, in all the right places! M&S have done an excellent job of making this work for real women by hanging the bulbous sleeves for a slender white version. The dress is shapely, gently covering over the hips and gives the illusion of a much smaller waist along with the jacket that sits comfortably and effortlessly offering a versatile and flattering form-fitting frock.
