You have the man of your dreams, on the outside everything’s perfect, right? Well probably not. We all have our insecurities and down days. If you’re feeling rather stressed out by wedding planning, peoples opinions or the dreaded D word..diet, please take some time to relax.
First things first, your wedding is about you and the love of your life. You need to do what’s right for you both as a couple and not to impress or keep others happy. Whether you want a quirky inexpensive wedding, or a grand palace for a setting it’s not just about one day. It’s about spending your lives together and being there for each other day after day. Worries and stress should play no part of your day or the lead up to it.
If this sounds like you then please step back, take a moment and breathe. Remember what love and marriage is truly about. Guess what? Your partner loves you how you are! They asked you to marry them. Your imperfections make you and that’s what makes you beautiful. Sure! If you want to get healthier, lose some weight to feel confident for you then good luck and go for it. However please don’t listen to all the bridal countdown weight programmes and quick weight loss schemes thrown at you on a daily basis, as you are worth much more than all of that.
Try and filter any negativity towards the wedding, this is a really important step for both of you as a couple. If you’re not sure where to begin why not put pen to paper and write out a good old fashioned list. Be honest with yourself and write down everything that’s making you feel frustrated or upset. Sit down with each other and talk about how these issues can be erased for good. Work together and don’t be afraid to ask for help a long the line. No one likes an angry bridezilla! Calm conversations can be so refreshing and your friends and family will probably be really happy you have come to them for advice. Getting other peoples points of view can be really helpful, especially if they are going to be involved in your day too.
